Job Summary

Technician III responsible for maintenance, diagnostics, and continuous improvement of the BEUMER ICS baggage handling system at CVG. Leads hands-on repairs across electrical, mechanical, and control subsystems, analyzes faults, and collaborates with engineering/OEM teams to optimize throughput and reliability in a fast-paced airport environment.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Perform routine and advanced maintenance on BEUMER ICS components, including ICS elements, diverters, scanners, and third-party equipment used to interface with the system.
•Diagnose and resolve faults across mechanical, electrical, and control subsystems using structured troubleshooting methods.
•Respond to system interruptions caused by carrier jams, sensor faults, or control logic errors; execute resets and root cause analysis.
•Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance aligned with BEUMER Group standards and OEM documentation on the ICS system.
•Interface with BEUMER’s High-Level Control (SAC) and PLC systems to monitor performance and execute logic-based interventions.

Salary: 25 - 31.37 hourly

Key Requirements

•Associate degree or technical certification in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
•5+ years hands-on experience in automated material handling systems, preferably within airport or logistics environments.
•Must be eligible to obtain and maintain airside security clearance.
•Proficiency in BEUMER SAC systems, PLC programming (Siemens preferred), and fault diagnostics.
•Deep understanding of mechatronic systems, sensors, actuators, motors, and controls; familiarity with Profinet, CANbus, and Fieldbus systems.
