Use tools and gauges, comply with OSHA/EPA/DOT requirements, and ensure safety through pre-/post-trip checks while supporting customers and clients.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on trucks in a mobile/field environment.
•Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, brake, cooling, steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and related systems.
•Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment; road test vehicles to confirm repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
•Manage parts inventory on the company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation and obtaining parts from approved vendors.
•Complete DOT forms and repair order documentation, including uploading work photos and findings using a company-issued iOS device and proprietary TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma/GED with 3 years’ experience in a related field (or equivalent combination such as 5 years’ experience).
•Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
•Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
•Be able to successfully complete and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and a DOT physical prior to employment.
•Hold a current and valid DOT medical card (or be able to obtain a DOT physical) and be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.
