Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and execute evaluation plans for AI safety models, including defining evaluation objectives, selecting metrics, and determining success criteria.
  • •Build and maintain high-quality ground truth datasets using data sampling strategies, data cleaning pipelines, and consistent labeling.
  • •Analyze model performance with statistical methods such as confidence intervals and error analysis to produce actionable insights.
  • •Collaborate with algorithm engineers to translate evaluation findings into model improvement directions, including prompt design and configuration iteration.
  • •Communicate evaluation results and governance standards to cross-functional partners and continuously improve evaluation processes as models and policies evolve.

Key Requirements

  • •Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master's in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Public Policy, or a closely related quantitative field.
  • •Strong applied statistics knowledge including sampling, hypothesis testing, and confidence intervals, and applying it to measurement problems.
  • •Foundational understanding of AI/ML concepts such as classification, NLP, and LLMs, and comfort discussing model behavior with engineers.
  • •Interest in governance, policy, or content safety and understanding the complexity of defining right/wrong at scale.
  • •Ability to communicate in both English and Chinese to collaborate with global and China-based stakeholders.
