Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections, along with follow-up repairs, for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines (gas/diesel), transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and diagnose defective equipment using test instruments (e.g., handheld computers and pressure gauges), including road tests.
  • •Independently manage daily work schedule, prioritize concurrent tasks, and manage parts inventory and equipment on the company service truck with periodic reconciliation.
  • •Complete DOT forms and other required documentation, document findings and parts used via company standards using an iOS device and TRAIT application, and comply with safety and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT).

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of related experience (or an equivalent combination such as certifications plus 3 years, or 7 years in a related field).
  • •At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Must be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a DOT medical card with more than four months remaining).
  • •Required certifications/obtained within 18 months: ASE T8 (PMI) and ASE 608/609.
