Job Summary

Serve on the Immigration Legal Services (ILS) team by screening clients and explaining immigration benefits, then assisting with applications to USCIS for matters such as green cards, naturalization, family-based immigration, asylum, and humanitarian visas. Key Responsibilities

•Conduct substantive legal screening to determine client benefit eligibility, explain options, and advise clients on actions for their specific case.
•Assist clients with USCIS applications for matters such as green card applications, naturalization, family-based immigration, asylum, and other humanitarian visas.
•Maintain up-to-date client and case records in the LawLogix database and Excel, ensuring physical and electronic files stay accurate and current with documents and notices.
•Respond to client emails and phone calls, submit case status inquiries to DOS, USCIS, DHS, and EOIR as needed, and perform factual and legal research for caseload and team support.
•If licensed as an attorney, provide limited-scope representation in removal proceedings before EOIR, including drafting and filing motions and applications and determining legal strategy with other attorneys and the program manager.

Travel: Low travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 32.4 - 40.5 hourly

Key Requirements

•Previous knowledge and understanding of immigration law and systems.
•Excellent written and oral communication skills.
•Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
•Ability to build and manage a varied, demanding caseload with strong time-management, priority-setting, and organizational skills.
•Licensed attorney in good standing with an active state bar membership.
