Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform detention, processing, safeguarding, security, escort, and transport duties as required by the contract.
  • •Exercise surveillance and maintain order and discipline over detainees.
  • •Enforce detention facility rules and provide care, custody, and control of detainees.
  • •Carry authorized intermediate weapons and ensure required protective equipment (e.g., ballistic vest) is worn.
  • •Conduct security/sanitation checks, vehicle inspections, equipment inventories, and maintain legible transportation and processing log entries.

Key Requirements

  • •1+ year experience as a law enforcement/military/security officer related to detaining detainees, or 2 years of college in an appropriate field from an accredited institution.
  • •US citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident with at least 5 years of U.S. residence.
  • •High school diploma or equivalent (GED), and pass criminal background and consumer credit check (no criminal record).
  • •Obtain and maintain a DHS/ICE government clearance and pass pre-employment and random drug tests.
  • •Maintain physical fitness standards, be at least 21 years old, and hold required driver’s and firearms licenses under Puerto Rico regulations.
