Key Responsibilities

  • •Understand customer, product manager, and field engineer requirements and write functional specifications.
  • •Architect, design, develop, and maintain Layer 2, network management, monitoring, and security features.
  • •Author test plans, build automated tests, and create test infrastructure for the features.
  • •Troubleshoot and resolve customer/network problems with support engineers and customers.
  • •Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers; analyze system test issues and provide fixes.

Key Requirements

  • •BS in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering + 6 years, or MS + 4 years, or Ph.D. + 3 years, or equivalent experience.
  • •Expert knowledge of C or C++ and Python.
  • •Software development experience with Linux.
  • •Knowledge of Layer 2 protocols (e.g., 802.1X, MACsec, LACP, STP) and/or network management/monitoring protocols (e.g., AAA, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, SFlow, IPFIX, OpenConfig).
  • •Technical leadership, strong communication, and the ability to design solutions and implement features independently.
