Job Summary

Perform a variety of duties on construction and/or paving projects in a utility capacity, moving between tasks as needs arise. Help maintain a safe work environment by following safety policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations, reporting issues to supervisors. Assist crews with shoveling/raking, running a wheelbarrow, signaling equipment operators, safely backing/dumping trucks, and setting up traffic control devices. May operate small power tools and support material digging, spreading, leveling, and movement.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure a safe work environment by following safety policies and using appropriate tools and equipment.
•Follow company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations; report problems to supervisors.

•Signal construction equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and materials handling with a shovel.
