Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Business, Aviation, or a technical field related to aviation, or equivalent experience/training.
  • •10 years of experience leading large teams in integrated operations control, airport operations, or cargo, including unionized frontline workgroups.
  • •In-depth knowledge of the airline industry, technical operations, American Airlines strategy, policies/procedures, and collective bargaining agreements.
  • •Preferred: Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate.
  • •Ability to lead complex, high-pressure operational situations while anticipating, analyzing, and interpreting complex issues.
