Key Responsibilities

  • •Diagnose and treat patients according to best-practice standards for child and adolescent psychiatry.
  • •Oversee junior medical staff and assume responsibility for the care they provide.
  • •Lead ward rounds and regularly reassess inpatients and outpatients in line with established best practice.
  • •Comply with hospital policies for admissions, consultations, daily patient care, procedures, discharge protocols, and follow-up practices.
  • •Help lead quality improvement via audits and support reporting, investigation, and response to untoward incidents.

Key Requirements

  • •NLT 2 years relevant experience as a consultant or equivalent post-board certification (Tier 1).
  • •NLT 8 years full-time employment as a consultant or equivalent post-board certification (includes fellowship training) in internationally accredited institute (Tier 2).
  • •For UAE Nationals, clinical fellowship training following primary specialty board may substitute for experience as: each year of fellowship counts as two years of clinical experience.
  • •Clinical fellowship substitution is only applicable to clinical subspecialty fellowship in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, UK, USA or HAAD accredited fellowship programs.
