Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the internal AI platform, serving as the shared foundation for teams building and running AI-powered tools.
  • •Architect and write production code, driving the platform roadmap and keeping it reliable and secure at scale.
  • •Set technical direction and raise the bar for how teams build with AI across engineering, product, go-to-market, and operations.
  • •Implement and manage AI workflows with an emphasis on routing/inference gateways and measurable improvements to quality, cost, and safety.
  • •Partner with security, legal, and finance to ensure a security-first design (guardrails, human-in-the-loop escalation, monitoring, audit) and help keep infra posture strong.

Key Requirements

  • •Staff-level engineering experience building and running high-scale systems while staying hands-on with production code.
  • •Real AI systems experience, including how modern AI systems are built (frontier-model APIs, multi-agent orchestration, and RAG).
  • •Product sense and proactive communication by shaping stakeholder needs into a clear roadmap and explaining it credibly to executives.
  • •Experience with model routing and gateway patterns across providers considering cost, latency, capability, and data sensitivity.
  • •Security-first design experience (guardrails, least-privilege access, monitoring, audit) and comfort owning infrastructure (cloud, Kubernetes, CI/CD, IaC).
