Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee the strategy, pursuit, management and delivery of major projects within the Environmental Approvals unit across VIC, SA and WA
  • •Foster technical excellence within WSP’s Ecology & Environmental Approvals Business Unit and align with national strategies
  • •Support the delivery of Expertise/Technical Excellence strategies and Technical Training programs integrated with the national plan
  • •Lead the growth of new client relationships and portfolios with strategic focus areas across the three jurisdictions
  • •Lead and role-model a zero-harm HSE culture, ensuring safety and environmental obligations are met

Key Requirements

  • •A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Urban Planning, Ecology, or a related field (postgraduate qualifications are a bonus)
  • •20–25+ years of experience in Environmental Approvals
  • •Strong leadership experience with the ability to build and retain high-performing teams
  • •Experience with strategy, business growth and developing technical talent
  • •Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a history of building strong interpersonal relationships
