Key Responsibilities

  • •Troubleshoot equipment problems and make economical, durable repairs.
  • •Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists and hand tools.
  • •Maintain and repair heavy equipment, trucks, shop, and non-mobile equipment.
  • •Service vehicles/equipment (oil changes, greasing, adding fluids, changing filters) and perform preventative maintenance.
  • •Troubleshoot and repair electrical/hydraulic systems and diesel/gasoline engines, transmissions, and drive trains.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED.
  • •Preferably 5 years of prior experience as an automotive mechanic with mechanical maintenance on a variety of equipment.
  • •Experience with heavy construction equipment (e.g., Komatsu and CAT dozers, excavators, motor graders, water trucks).
  • •Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • •Must have a current and valid driver’s license.
