Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed team of network, cloud, and systems engineers, including hiring, performance management, and succession planning.
  • •Own capacity planning across on-call, project delivery, KTLO, and incident response, making trade-offs explicit and ensuring sustainable load.
  • •Translate staff-level infrastructure roadmaps into staffing plans, sequencing, and realistic commitments, flagging early when scope and capacity diverge.
  • •Run service and operations at a high standard: humane on-call rotations, clear escalation paths, defined ownership, and action-item follow-through after incidents.
  • •Ensure major-incident readiness, including trained Incident Commanders, rehearsed escalation/communication paths, and blameless post-incident reviews that change the system.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant experience leading engineering teams, including hiring, performance management, career development, and retention.
  • •Build a career in infrastructure, network, cloud, or platform organizations with hands-on proximity to production systems.
  • •Accountable for production infrastructure during major incidents or high-stakes launches, with examples of what changed afterward.
  • •Manage service or operations teams with production and on-call responsibility (not only project delivery).
  • •Demonstrated capacity planning across on-call, project delivery, KTLO, and incident load; defend the plan to leadership.
