Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the vision, roadmap, and execution for analytics engineering, including core data models, semantic layers, BI tooling, and pipeline infrastructure.
  • •Hire, manage, and develop analytics engineers while establishing career ladders, leveling expectations, and performance practices.
  • •Set standards for data modeling, testing, documentation, code review, deployment, and data quality.
  • •Stay close to technical work by reviewing complex dbt models, optimizing SQL, and troubleshooting high-priority pipeline issues.
  • •Serve as a senior partner on data modeling and metric governance, ensuring consistent, trusted, and well-documented metric definitions.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data architecture, including leading and developing teams.
  • •Strong SQL and dbt experience, including advanced data modeling, incremental processing, testing, documentation, and multi-environment deployment.
  • •Deep knowledge of dimensional modeling (e.g., Kimball or star schema) applied in complex B2B SaaS environments.
  • •Experience with modern cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift, including performance, cost, and scale decisions.
  • •Experience establishing semantic layer strategies and trusted metric definitions across an organization.
