Job Summary

Build and scale reliable lodging and cars booking fulfillment in a complex microservices environment. As a senior individual contributor, you’ll integrate external lodging, cars, and GDS partners, write high-performance JVM services in Scala (or Java/Kotlin), and troubleshoot production issues. Work with Product Managers and Operations to translate requirements into technical tasks, own the full feature lifecycle from implementation to deployment, and improve resilience and low-latency performance through code reviews and monitoring optimization.

Key Responsibilities

•Execute end-to-end technical integrations with external lodgings, cars, and GDS partners across distributed data schemas and complex protocols.
•Write clean, performant Scala/JVM code to maintain and evolve mission-critical lodging services.
•Explore and troubleshoot complex codebases to resolve production issues in a distributed system environment.
•Partner with Product Managers and Operations to decompose business requirements and estimate delivery timelines.
•Own the development lifecycle for new features, from implementation and testing to production deployment, including resilience and low-latency improvements through code reviews.

Key Requirements

•Strong proficiency in Scala or other JVM languages (Java or Kotlin) for building scalable, high-throughput services.
•Experience owning technical implementation, testing, and deployment of features in a microservices architecture.
•Practical experience with distributed systems and service communication (gRPC, Pub/Sub, REST).
•Ability to onboard quickly and handle technical ambiguity by independently exploring and executing technical plans.
•Excellent communication skills and a bias for action to collaborate with cross-functional squads in a remote-first environment.
