Job Summary

Assist with the semiconductor RTL-to-GDSII flow by supporting floorplanning, block-level placement, and routing to meet power, performance, and area (PPA) goals. Run physical verification using DRC and LVS, and learn timing/power analysis such as cross-talk, noise, IR drop, and static timing analysis. Write and debug automation scripts in Python, Tcl, or Perl within UNIX/Linux environments, working with senior engineers and industry EDA tools.

•Support physical verification by running DRC and LVS checks to meet foundry manufacturing requirements.
•Learn timing and power analysis including cross-talk, noise, IR drop, and sub-system static timing analysis (STA).
•Write and debug scripts in Python, Tcl, or Perl to automate data analysis and streamline the design flow.
•Collaborate with senior engineers throughout the RTL-to-GDSII semiconductor design process.

Key Requirements

•Currently in third-year or final-year Bachelor’s study in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, VLSI Systems, or a closely related field (Physics, Maths).
•Be able to work onsite 4 days per week and commit to at least a 6-month internship program.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
•Have fundamental understanding of semiconductor device physics, analog circuit theory, or digital VLSI design concepts.
•Familiarity with UNIX/Linux and basic programming skills; exposure to EDA tools is a strong plus.
