Key Responsibilities

  • •Contribute to mechanical design and development activities for test tools, jigs, and mechatronic/electromechanical packaging.
  • •Handle design and development work, generating manufacturing product data packages/definition files and releasing them in the configuration management tool.
  • •Perform design analysis and simulation to address functional aspects, mechanical stability, and manufacturability/testability/maintainability.
  • •Create 3D models and 2D drawings/specifications for mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components.
  • •Produce CAD models for sheet metal and machined parts and support documentation such as design justification, test procedures, and user/maintenance manuals.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of experience with CATIA V5, including creating 3D models and 2D drawings/specifications for mechanical assemblies and components.
  • •Experience producing 2D drawings for machining and fabrication, including GD&T based on ISO GPS standards.
  • •Ability to work with Product Data Package contents (e.g., BOM/item list, documents/components, COTS, find numbers, material/process items, and configuration management).
  • •Ability to generate sheet metal and machined product CAD models (parts and assemblies).
  • •Hands-on engineering fundamentals including strength of materials and design of machine elements, plus computational analysis/simulation for mechanical stability.
