Key Responsibilities

•Build and lead a sustainable, high‑performing engineering team through hiring, coaching, retention, and organizational design.
•Define and execute a multi‑year strategy for Events, Cache & Queues STaaS balancing operational excellence with platform roadmap.
•Own the reliability, availability, and performance of messaging and caching platforms, including SLOs, incident response, and disaster recovery planning.
•Partner with architecture, security, and compliance to enforce guardrails and safe rollout of changes in regulated environments.
•Lead platform initiatives, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and align roadmaps with external cloud vendors for performance and cost optimization.

Key Requirements

•10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building large‑scale, highly available distributed systems or data platforms, with 5+ years in an engineering manager role leading backend, infrastructure, or platform teams.
•Experience designing or operating messaging and caching systems (e.g., Azure Service Bus, Google Pub/Sub, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, Azure Managed Redis) and familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Azure and/or Google Cloud), containers (Docker), and Kubernetes.
•Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language (C#, Java, Go, or similar) and familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code and automation.
•Demonstrated success driving cross‑team initiatives, including incident management, RCAs, and systemic reliability improvements for event‑driven systems.
•Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a track record of partnering with product, operations, and leadership stakeholders.
