Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct injury and vehicle incident reviews to determine root cause and required corrective action.
  • •Provide guidance and direction for division employees and contractors to encourage workplace safety.
  • •Observe safety practices and field conditions and recommend corrections or additional precautions for compliance.
  • •Develop and conduct safety training programs and facilitate safety tests (e.g., respirator fit, hearing loss, forklift, excavation).
  • •Participate in monthly safety team meetings, provide leadership training to safety team leaders, and maintain safety records.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's Degree and two years of relevant experience in the safety field; or high school education or equivalent and six years of relevant experience in the safety field.
  • •Ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers to explain or modify technical or complex concepts.
  • •Ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages, and simple statistical methods.
  • •Basic computer skills for data entry, reference, and/or retrieval; preferred experience with Microsoft Office.
