Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead Integrated Product Team (IPT), Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT), and System Integrated Product Team (SIPT) planning for airworthiness, including recommending certification bases and aligning stakeholders across airworthiness, V&V, safety, and requirements management processes.
  • •Ensure timely submission of airworthiness deliverables and communicate risk and mitigations where necessary.
  • •Advocate for airworthiness compliance while balancing competing program priorities.
  • •Coordinate regularly with US Government customers, serving as primary airworthiness advisor to achieve Military Flight Release (MFR) or Military Type Certificate (MTC) for new programs, component improvement programs, and engineering changes.
  • •Author airworthiness plan and certification basis drafts, negotiate resolution of internal conflicts, represent airworthiness in IPT/CIPT/SIPT meetings, and guide/mentor junior members while developing airworthiness processes and standard work tools.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent STEM degree.
  • •10+ years of experience in military airworthiness and/or civil certification and/or engineering & requirements management (or advanced degree with 7+ years).
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
  • •Advance degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering.
  • •Experience with gas turbine engine subsystems and familiarity with their architecture, performance, validation, and analysis.
