Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive projects from conceptualization till start of production, coordinating across functions to deliver designed systems and components
  • •Capture and specify design requirements and development/validation needed to meet customer specifications
  • •Manage all design activities (RFQs, design freeze/release, DFMEA, PPAP, DV/PV testing, CAE)
  • •Improve reliability to reduce warrantable issues and drive continuous improvement
  • •Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product management and NPI) and engage suppliers in DFM discussions

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (Master’s preferred)
  • •Minimum 6+ years of mechanical engineering experience
  • •Experience in plastic design and leading development of plastic components (injection-molded, vacuum-formed, low-pressure molding)
  • •Strong knowledge of DFMEA, PPAP, and CAE; ability to perform FEA and support molding analyses (Moldflow)
  • •Proficiency with SolidWorks for drafting/modeling, GD&T, and tolerance stack-ups; understanding of DFM principles for plastics
