Job Summary

Support WHO India’s Field Epidemiology Training Programme (FETP) by coordinating training activities, advising FETP officers on surveillance data analysis and epidemiological study design, and mentoring them through outbreak investigations and evaluations. Review scientific outputs for quality, manage training sessions and the learning management system database, and help plan field implementations with ethical approvals. Provide program documentation and ongoing communication and feedback to WHO India and NCDC.

Key Responsibilities

•Liaise with the FETP training institute to draft the course calendar and prepare contact session materials and agendas.
•Coordinate mentors and FETP officers to plan contact sessions and support trainees’ CAL progress using the learning management system database.
•Provide technical guidance on surveillance data analysis, system assessment, outbreak investigations, evaluations, and epidemiological studies.
•Review trainee/officer projects and scientific outputs (reports, abstracts, manuscripts, presentations) for scientific quality and facilitate administrative approval.
•Coordinate and manage Weekly Afternoon Seminar (TAS) and online training sessions; develop epidemiological project plans, support ethical approvals, and document program guidelines and SOPs.

Salary: 157,449 monthly

Key Requirements

•Medical graduate.
•Completed intermediate/advanced Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) conducted by NCDC, NIE, or WHO.
•At least one year of progressive experience conducting training or workshops for public health professionals in India.
•Experience as mentor or faculty for intermediate or advanced FETP.
•Strong knowledge of public health surveillance, outbreak investigations, field surveys, epidemiology, research methodology, and scientific writing.
