Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Hang live chickens in moving shackles by picking up chickens by their thighs and placing feed onto the moving shackles.
  • •Ensure feet are securely caught and maintain continuous flow of product by controlling the hydraulic bar with your leg.
  • •Comply with all company policies and NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and follow local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • •Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs.
  • •Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) and perform all other duties as assigned.

  • •Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
  • •Sound work ethic, honesty, and moral character.
  • •Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shift hours.
  • •High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • •Hatchery or relative poultry industry experience and basic math skills (preferred).
