Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide leadership and line management for staff, supporting career development and encouraging training and learning.
  • •Deliver environmental consultancy services through proactive project management, including cost-effective and timely delivery.
  • •Provide technical direction with robust reviews of others’ technical work and constructive, developmental feedback.
  • •Build relationships with WSP UK teams, identify tasks within projects, and coordinate requirements with project managers.
  • •Prepare and support complex fee proposals and produce accurate, efficient complex reports for others.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Environmental Sciences or an engineering-related discipline (e.g., Geology, Environmental Geoscience, Environmental Engineering, or Civil/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering with environmental focus).
  • •Masters degree in an Environmental Science, Geology, or engineering-related discipline (desirable) with a focus on Environment.
  • •15+ years of experience working with an environmental consultancy conducting environmental site assessments and contaminated land risk assessment and remediation for UK sites.
  • •Full understanding of UK legislation and guidance in relation to contaminated land.
  • •Be chartered with a British institution (or working towards chartered status within one year).
