Key Responsibilities

  • •System development: integrate and test capabilities across hardware and software stacks to enable an operational quantum computer platform.
  • •Operations: run the machine, optimize reliability, uptime and cost; drive calibration design, telemetry and automation.
  • •Customer success management: interact with customers to understand needs and translate them into goals for system development and operations.
  • •Scientific and application development support: collaborate with customers to enable high-impact projects using the quantum computer.

Key Requirements

  • •PhD in experimental AMO physics or related field, with hands-on experience in building or operating a neutral atom or trapped ion system or other quantum devices (senior) or Masters degree for junior positions.
  • •Proven track record in experimental research with peer-reviewed publications and/or talks.
  • •Strong communication skills and ability to translate customer needs into technical requirements and roadmaps.
  • •Software skills and a basic understanding of software architectures.
  • •Experience mentoring or training scientists or engineers; willingness to provide on-call support for machine operations.
