Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare multi-level daily lesson plans using the WR Early Childhood Curriculum for infants and toddlers.
  • •Integrate fine and gross motor activities and encourage English language development through play and conversation.
  • •Provide physical care for children, including snack preparation/clean-up and maintaining cleanliness, safety, nutrition, and hygiene.
  • •Welcome and direct volunteers in the classroom and coordinate staffing with the Early Childhood Education Specialist.
  • •Communicate with parents, report working hours and children’s attendance, direct concerns to leadership, attend meetings, and cross-train with the Children & Youth Department.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree required in Early Childhood Education, Family Studies & Human Development, Elementary Education, or a related field.
  • •At least 2 years of experience related to early childhood duties and responsibilities.
  • •Experience or interest in working with immigrant and refugee children.
  • •Strong organizing and coordinating skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • •Microsoft Office proficiency.
