Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver safe, fun, and progressive swimming lessons to swimmers of all ages following the Swim England framework.
  • •Provide safeguarding and DBS checks as part of employment and ensure a safe environment for learners.
  • •Support personal and career development through in-house training and CPDs.
  • •Collaborate with centre staff to run lessons across Birmingham Leisure Community Trust facilities.
  • •Contribute to broader centre operations and customer service to promote active, healthy lifestyles.

Key Requirements

  • •STA Award/Certificate in Teaching Swimming or Swim England (Previously ASA) Level 2
  • •Excellent customer service skills and ability to deal with people of all ages and backgrounds
  • •Willingness to undergo safeguarding and DBS checks provided by the employer
  • •Availability to work shifts including evenings and Saturdays
  • •Holding or willingness to start qualification training (training courses available)
