Key Responsibilities

  • •Schedule and dispatch trucks for conveyance of materials, coordinating assignments via radio, telephone, or computer.
  • •Provide a central communication link for the transportation department by accurately operating dispatch systems and communication channels.
  • •Schedule brokered trucks for internal and external aggregate projects for both day and night work to ensure efficient coverage.
  • •Maintain broker relationships and follow up on service issues related to trucking and product delivery, including compliance via broker files.
  • •Review billing and pay inquiries from trucking companies and forward audited/corrected bills to the billing department for prompt payment.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED; or college degree a plus; or 4 to 6 years related experience and/or training (or equivalent).
  • •Provide central dispatch communications and operate email/phone/cell phone and dispatch systems (JWS and EIS Libra).
  • •Schedule brokered trucks for day and night work and ensure efficient utilization and proper coverage.
  • •Maintain market logistics knowledge (routes, locations, lanes, backhauls) and create/manage efficient movement of materials with customer service focus.
  • •Adhere to safety requirements and policies; be willing to travel/work away from home when required and work nights and weekends when necessary.
