Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare cost estimates at the appropriate level of detail based on available design information.
  • •Analyse documents, drawings, and project plans to identify cost-influencing factors and evaluate risks and opportunities.
  • •Finalise unit cost pricing and review/refresh estimates to reflect current market and project conditions.
  • •Obtain and validate up-to-date pricing from databases, contractors, and suppliers; review historical benchmarks and variances.
  • •Communicate estimating deliverables to senior management and stakeholders, support reporting on estimate changes, and mentor junior estimators.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years’ experience in cost management and estimation.
  • •5+ years conducting cost management and estimation on active civil, rail/transit, airport, or commercial construction projects.
  • •Knowledge of contracting methods such as Design/Bid/Build (DBB), Design Build (DB), Construction Management At Risk (CMAR), and Guarantee Maximum Price (GPM).
  • •Experience with estimating software such as Candy, CostX, or similar.
  • •A minimum Level 8 degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area (e.g., Engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying).
