Key Responsibilities

•Design, implement, and manage AWS-based database solutions, including RDS/Aurora PostgreSQL and EC2-hosted and hybrid architectures.
•Administer PostgreSQL in production and support Oracle environments as an additional skillset, managing lifecycle tasks like provisioning, patching, upgrades, and migrations.
•Monitor performance with AWS tools, perform query tuning and indexing, and run root-cause analysis for incidents.
•Build and maintain automation for provisioning, patching, backups, and failover using IaC and scripting, and enable CI/CD for database/schema changes.
•Implement and validate high availability and disaster recovery strategies, including Aurora/RDS Multi-AZ and replication/failover drills.

•Proficiency in infrastructure as code (Terraform / CloudFormation) and automation, plus scripting with Python and Bash.
