Operate and support gravure press production across multiple press-room areas, including roll stand tasks, folding/gluing, and material handling. Perform setups and make-ready activities, ensure correct pallet loading and job label/docket information, and review work for quality, accuracy, and error-free completion. Support uptime through cleanup and downtime assistance, handle hazardous materials/waste per OHSE procedures, and collaborate as an integral member of the press crew.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform press-room and related gravure production tasks, including receiving product from the press, stacking/placing on pallets, and printing pallet labels using job docket information.
•Support make-ready and downtime activities, including webbing the press, assisting operators during downtime, and performing required cleanups and solvent/varnish tank tasks.
•Maintain job quality by reviewing completed work for accuracy, notifying operators of problems/errors, and ensuring finished product is free of errors.
•Operate roll stand activities such as preparing/mounting rolls, setting cylinders, splitting cores, maintaining varnish viscosity, and changing out varnish drums/cylinders as needed.
•Perform forklift driver material-handling responsibilities when applicable, including safe operation, loading/unloading pallets and waste, recording/inspecting loads, removing waste/cores for recycling, and completing daily inspection paperwork.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma (or GED) plus one to three years of related production experience and/or training.
•Very good mechanical and physical ability to perform the role’s physical demands.
•Lift truck operators must have and maintain safety training for operation of all company equipment.
•Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform prolonged standing, stooping, bending, reaching, climbing, kneeling, and crouching as required.
•Ability to rotate shifts and be available to work more than 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week when needed.
