Key Responsibilities

  • •Audit, format, and compile insurance risk portfolios for catastrophe management using software tools (MS Access, MS Excel, SQL).
  • •Perform catastrophe modelling analysis using internal and externally licensed catastrophe models.
  • •Interpret, test, and evaluate catastrophe model results.
  • •Apply and communicate modelling results for reinsurance design, pricing, and placement.
  • •Serve as local territory contact: liaise with clients and colleagues, manage project objectives/outcomes, and run presentations/training workshops.

Key Requirements

  • •Graduated in a science field such as earth science, physics, mathematics, or related studies such as actuarial, finance, or statistical studies.
  • •Minimum 3 years’ experience in (re)insurance working in an analytical role focused on catastrophe modelling/management.
  • •Strong experience in Verisk, Moody’s, and CoreLogic catastrophe modelling platforms, including operating and interpretation.
  • •Strong computer skills in MS Office suites (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • •Experience in Microsoft SQL (preferred) and/or programming or scripting and GIS experience (ACRMAP) (preferred).
