Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate and lead electrical commissioning activities to successful completion with a focus on safety and LOTO program supervision.
  • •Develop detailed commissioning and start-up procedures for assigned electrical systems and ensure technical integrity of completed work.
  • •Provide daily, on-site/in-field leadership and coordination for a multi-discipline team of electrical commissioning leads and technicians.
  • •Prepare and approve job cards, manage job card allocation/completion, and handle punch lists, walk-downs, and certification verification.
  • •Coordinate vendor support, functional testing, certifying authority witnessing, and provide handover documentation for offshore operations.

Key Requirements

  • •Typically 15+ years in oil & gas completion and commissioning activities in a lead technician or engineer’s role.
  • •Proven supervisory experience in an electrical commissioning role, including managing leads and technicians for coordinated work.
  • •Detailed working knowledge of upstream/midstream oil and gas processing facilities and electrical commissioning practices.
  • •Experience with electrical systems including distribution (480V motor control centers), lighting panels, DC/UPS power, wiring/troubleshooting, and PLC logic controls.
  • •Higher National Certificate (or equivalent) in a primary engineering discipline and proficient written/oral English communication.
