Key Responsibilities

  • •Demonstrate Health, Safety, and Environment behavior in line with company standards, follow SHE legislation, and attend safety meetings.
  • •Safely operate and control mining equipment/vehicles as instructed, ensuring compliance with procedures, specifications, and budget/time limits.
  • •Complete pre-shift and walk-around inspections to ensure equipment functionality and safety, and report deviations to the supervisor.
  • •Use SLAM/HIRA/Mini HIRA correctly and actively participate in SLAMs, HPHs, and relevant risk assessments and close-out safety actions.
  • •Respond to emergencies using established protocols and assist supervisors and co-workers within your competence.

Key Requirements

  • •Grade 12 / N3 Technical and an entry-level profile with practical experience through internships or relevant work.
  • •Valid SA Drivers License and knowledge of mine traffic rules.
  • •Red Permit Certified.
  • •Valid Dover Certificate (when required) and relevant HME licences.
  • •Technical knowledge of relevant equipment and safety standards, including collision prevention and fire suppression systems.
