Job Summary

Lead land referencing and land acquisition advisory for strategic infrastructure projects across the UK and Ireland. Serve as a trusted client advisor, guide statutory land processes, secure land rights, and manage relationships with landowners, planning authorities, legal representatives, and stakeholders. Ensure delivery quality, budgets, and timelines, collaborate across engineering and planning teams, and support team capability through training, mentoring, and people leadership.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure successful delivery of land projects on time, within budget, and to high standards.
•Act as a trusted advisor to clients (externally and internally) and manage relationships.
•Advise on land issues across the UK and Ireland, including statutory processes to acquire land rights (e.g., DCOs, DNOs, hybrid Bills, CPOs, Vesting Orders).
•Secure land rights for strategic infrastructure projects and liaise with landowners, legal representatives, planning authorities, and contractors.
•Undertake quality assurance of deliverables and support people management through mentoring, development, and training contributions.

Key Requirements

•Expertise in urban and/or rural environment, property, communities, and stakeholders.
•Experience working on infrastructure development schemes with multi-disciplinary teams across a range of sectors and locations.
•Experience negotiating commercial terms with landowners and knowledge of the legal process for acquiring wayleaves, easements, and negotiated access.
•Demonstrable experience reducing land risk for clients and advising on land-related matters across the project lifecycle.
•A degree in Geography, Land/Estate Management, Agriculture, or a similar field.
