Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver age-specific, patient-centered care using the nursing process, including problem-focused assessment and continual critical care assessment of patient and family needs.
  • •Create, coordinate, and revise care plans, prioritize care based on individual needs, and initiate appropriate transfer planning.
  • •Document relevant data in the medical record according to hospital/departmental standards and maintain safe environment practices.
  • •Assist in breast radiology procedures including ultrasound-guided core biopsy and lymph node biopsy, stereotactic biopsy support, breast fine needle aspiration (FNA), seed placement, and wire localization.
  • •Maintain required education, competencies, and unit-based CQI participation, including JCIA mandatory education and safe handling/documentation of controlled drugs.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in nursing with minimum three (3) years full-time course duration, or a nursing degree with minimum two (2) years course duration, plus Registered Nurse registration.
  • •At least two (2) years of recent post-graduate experience in a Breast Care setting.
  • •Must hold a valid license/registration to practice in their home country and/or country of last employment (where applicable).
  • •Minimum Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is essential.
  • •Must be able to assess patients’ physical and psychological needs and coordinate/planning care appropriately for adults and geriatric populations.
