Job Summary

Support Samsung businesses on privacy and data security compliance, reporting to the Head of Privacy. Advise on U.S. privacy laws and regulatory developments, develop privacy policies and procedures, and perform privacy impact assessments. Lead data breach response and employee privacy training, represent the company with regulators, and draft and negotiate vendor/customer contracts. Partner with Samsung’s Korea HQ Privacy team to roll out local privacy initiatives.

•Counsel and support businesses on privacy matters to ensure compliance with CCPA, COPPA, and other state and federal privacy laws.
•Track and advise on legal, regulatory, and policy developments affecting data collection and use, online privacy, healthcare, tracking/analytics, and advanced advertising.
•Develop and implement comprehensive privacy policies and procedures, and conduct privacy impact assessments and analyses of personal data usage.
•Manage data breach response and notification processes, and provide privacy and data protection training to employees.
•Draft and negotiate vendor and customer contracts and counsel the business on privacy and information security issues.
