Key Responsibilities

  • •Propose and conduct quantitative research on key user behaviors, product flows, and business trends to identify new opportunities for the product team.
  • •Design and analyze experiments and causal inference tests in collaboration with engineers, applied scientists, and economists.
  • •Partner with product managers and engineers to prioritize and scope new features, including scenario modeling and business-logic recommendations.
  • •Define and monitor key metrics, investigate changes, and propose next steps.
  • •Develop topic expertise on how Pro customers use Thumbtack and contribute to accessible data table design and maintenance.

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or economics.
  • •Experience scoping, analyzing, and communicating results of experiments.
  • •Expertise in SQL.
  • •Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships cross-functionally with leadership.
  • •Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in a technical area such as Statistics, Engineering, Analytics, Math, Computer Science, Operations Research, or Economics.
