Job Summary

Oversee transportation and infrastructure construction projects across New York State DOT Region 8, within the Hudson Valley. Serve as the primary liaison between NYSDOT, contractors, utility companies, and stakeholders, managing construction administration, inspection staff, contractor performance, and project schedules. Administer contracts for compliance with plans and specifications, review payment requests and change orders, lead project meetings, address field issues, and promote jobsite safety throughout delivery.

•Oversee daily construction operations and manage inspection staff on active transportation projects.
•Serve as the primary liaison between NYSDOT, contractors, utility companies, and project stakeholders.
•Administer construction contracts to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
•Monitor contractor performance, construction progress, and project schedules; review payment requests, change orders, and documentation.
•Lead project meetings, communicate progress/risks/updates, resolve construction issues, and ensure jobsite safety compliance with NYSDOT requirements.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Strong knowledge of NYSDOT specifications, contract administration, and construction documentation.
•Experience with roadway, bridge, drainage, utility, and traffic control projects.
•Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York strongly preferred; valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
