Key Responsibilities

  • •Receive, pay out cash, and handle negotiable items, loan payments, deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
  • •Set up, close, and balance the teller station, including recording sales of monetary instruments.
  • •Cross-sell bank products and services while maintaining a neat, well-stocked teller area.
  • •Follow established limits and adhere to bank policies and procedures for account protection and safety and soundness.
  • •Assist with balancing vault, ATM, night drop, and coin machine as assigned, including scanning documents and making check-cashing/holds decisions.

Key Requirements

  • •Equivalent to four years of high school or GED, with particular emphasis on office/work skills, plus 12–18 months related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • •Ability to effectively communicate with customers and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations.
  • •Ability to perform basic mathematical operations using money and other measurements.
  • •Ability to use common sense to carry out simple multi-step instructions and handle standardized situations with limited variables.
  • •Basic software skills including 10-key, spreadsheet, and word processing/typing.
