Job Summary

Lead one or more engineering delivery teams modernizing a high-volume global payment processing platform from monolithic batch workloads to event-driven microservices on AWS. You’ll own delivery outcomes and team execution while staying deeply technical in architecture discussions and design reviews. Drive engineering standards (TDD, CI/CD, observability, production readiness), remove blockers, collaborate cross-site, and embed AI-assisted development into day-to-day ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and develop engineering teams, including hiring, coaching, and retaining strong engineers while building a culture of ownership and quality.
•Own delivery outcomes by ensuring teams ship production-ready software incrementally with clear integration milestones.
•Participate in technical direction through architecture discussions, design reviews, and engineering trade-off decisions.
•Drive engineering standards including TDD, CI/CD discipline, observability, and production readiness.
•Remove blockers and manage cross-team dependencies while collaborating across sites; embed AI-first engineering practices.

Key Requirements

•Proven experience leading engineering teams delivering distributed systems, with both people leadership and delivery ownership.
•Strong technical background in modern Java or Kotlin, microservices, and event-driven architectures.

•Track record delivering software iteratively in complex environments using approaches like vertical slicing and integration-first delivery.
•Credibility in architecture and technical decision-making, including engaging with architects and principal engineers.
