Job Summary

Join Amcor in Batavia as an Ink Blender, ensuring inks are accurately blended and matched to press requirements. You’ll verify approved color rollouts, operate dispensing and color-matching tools (including a Spectro Photometer), coordinate with the Crew Leader and Crew Leader/press team for corrections, and support efficient press setup to reach production speed quickly. You’ll also maintain a clean, safe ink room while tracking ink usage and assisting with deliveries.

Job Function: Manufacturing & Production Operations

Key Responsibilities

•Check color folders to ensure approved color rollout, ink formula, and ink type match order instructions, and contact the Crew Leader for corrections before going to press.
•Use the dispensing system (Color Converting in Plant 2) and K Proofer to draw and blend inks.
•Operate the Spectro Photometer color matching system to achieve required DEcmc readings and complete initial press approval for the color match.
•Scan approved rollouts into the color check computer system after press verification and work with the Press Operator on color during press setup to bring the line up to speed.
•Maintain a clean, safe work area following Good Manufacturing Practices and prerequisite food safety programs, including tracking return ink and unloading/moving drums and totes.
