Key Requirements

  • •Serve as a technical lead/principal engineer on large-scale agent, daemon, or systems-level software projects involving distributed deployments and backward compatibility.
  • •Design scalable agent-layer architecture and drive technical direction from ambiguous design space to shipped software.
  • •Have deep knowledge of observability data collection (metrics, logs, traces) and the protocols that carry them such as OTLP, Prometheus Remote Write, and syslog.
  • •Possess a solid Go background, since Elastic Agent and Beats are primarily written in Go.
  • •Lead technical decision-making end to end: write design docs, socialize with stakeholders, build consensus, and hold quality standards through reviews and feedback.
