Key Responsibilities

  • •Own OKX’s framework for identifying conduct warranting criminal referral and work with relevant authorities through charging and prosecution.
  • •Lead regional civil litigation end-to-end, including intake, case assessment, strategy, and resolution for both defence and plaintiff matters.
  • •Lead arbitrations in the region as counsel-in-charge, including pleadings, evidence, hearings, and enforcement proceedings.
  • •Develop strategy and lead OKX’s response to regulatory enforcement inquiries and personally conduct sensitive internal investigations, including root-cause analysis and remediation support.
  • •Lead and develop the in-region team, manage external counsel and regional contentious budget, and deliver decision-ready reporting to the Global Head and governance forums.

Key Requirements

  • •Admitted as a solicitor or barrister in Hong Kong; based in Hong Kong or Singapore.
  • •12+ years post-qualification experience in contentious work, including Asia experience.
  • •Prosecutorial or criminal enforcement background plus arbitration and trial experience; track record leading a team; prior in-house experience preferred.
  • •Experience developing and executing litigation strategies under ambiguity in a fast-paced regulatory environment.
  • •Fluent written and spoken English; Mandarin and/or Cantonese at professional working level strongly preferred.
