•Set architectural direction by proposing designs, guiding trade-offs, and helping the team make consistent choices across services and pipelines.
•Own significant scope end-to-end, from technical design through reliable production operations and support during regulatory deadlines.
•Evolve data architecture to improve accuracy, scale, and consistency across client-facing outputs toward a single source of truth.
•Raise quality through code review, testing frameworks, design conversations, and mentor developers via pairing and feedback.

•Data engineering at scale, including distributed compute (Spark or comparable) and data pipeline design, plus solid Postgres experience for bulk queries and schemas.
•Comfort working across Ruby, Python, and workflow orchestration (Airflow or equivalent), with depth in one and ability to ramp on others.
•Enthusiasm for AI-assisted development, with judgment to review output quality.
