Job Summary

Lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure, resilient software applications for commercial virtual cards, payables, and acceptance platforms. Drive architecture and implementation of REST APIs, gRPC services, microservices, and event-driven systems, while applying a GenAI-first mindset across SDLC. Partner with technical and business stakeholders, mentor junior developers, and ensure strong security, quality, performance, and operational stability through CI/CD and troubleshooting support.

•Lead the architecture and implementation of REST APIs, gRPC services, backend platforms, microservices, and event-driven systems.
•Design, document, and implement scalable, fault-tolerant web-based applications that meet security, quality, performance, resiliency, and compliance standards.
•Use GenAI in day-to-day engineering activities and help shape how engineering teams apply these capabilities to improve software quality and speed.
•Build and evolve CI/CD pipelines using best-in-class tools, supporting production stability and SDLC activities across development and testing.
•Mentor junior developers and collaborate with technical product managers and stakeholders to break down and deliver high-quality products and services.

Key Requirements

•8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years with an advanced degree (or 2 years with a PhD), or 11+ years experience.
•Deep expertise in backend engineering including REST APIs, gRPC, J2EE, JDBC, and JMS.
•Extensive hands-on experience with Spring (including Spring Batch, Spring Boot, WebFlux) and Vert.x.
•Strong GenAI/LLM-driven software engineering experience, including using copilots and agentic workflows to improve SDLC quality and security.
•Proven technical leadership delivering backend services, microservices, event-driven systems, and highly available, fault-tolerant applications with strong SQL and database experience.
