Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic components including brakes, cooling, starters/alternators, engines, transmissions, and air conditioning systems.
  • •Inspect, test, and troubleshoot defective equipment using test instruments and road tests to confirm proper operation.
  • •Maintain company service truck operations, complete safety checks, and manage pre-/post-trip inspections and compliance with safety and environmental policies.
  • •Document repairs by completing DOT forms and repair orders (RO), including uploading photos and findings using company tools.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience (or an equivalent combination such as additional certification/degree or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Possess and supply required hand tools to perform job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
  • •Successfully complete and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and a DOT physical (or submit a valid DOT medical card with sufficient validity).
  • •Hold a valid state-of-residence driver’s license and a Class C CDL; maintain a Driver Qualification File.
  • •Must be at least 21 years or older.
