Key Responsibilities

•Design, code, and optimize core search algorithms tailored for on-device execution under tight CPU, memory, and storage constraints.
•Take ownership of offline data delivery systems, designing and implementing tile compression (e.g., Zstd) and delta update pipelines to minimize payload sizes.
•Collaborate across multiple R&D and backend teams to ensure parity between cloud and offline search products.
•Engage with automotive OEMs and mapping partners across EU, US, Japan, and China to understand hardware specs and align technical deliverables with rollout schedules.
•Collect and monitor deep system telemetry to evaluate performance tradeoffs and drive architectural improvements.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 160,650 - 217,350 annually

Key Requirements

•Strong proficiency in C++ with memory management, multi-threading, and systems-level programming.
•Experience with Python or other scripting languages used for tooling, data processing, or test automation.
•Proven experience optimizing code for performance-constrained environments, balancing CPU, memory, and latency.
•Familiarity with data structures, binary data formats, and data compression (e.g., Zstd) or delta update mechanisms.
•Excellent communication skills in English and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
