Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and coordinate environmental contributions across project designs and assessments within the Resilient Infrastructure team.
  • •Deliver services across the project lifecycle including planning applications, EIA, GRIP Stages, and support for DCO examinations and planning inquiries.
  • •Direct and manage projects, including recruitment, bidding, project delivery, and financial management responsibilities.
  • •Provide environmental advice and support to clients, project managers, colleagues, and engineering teams to promote sustainable design.
  • •Lead large, multiple, complex projects, overseeing technical, quality, commercial, and health and safety performance, while driving business development through proposals and frameworks.

Key Requirements

  • •Relevant environmental or planning degree (or equivalent experience), with chartered status or actively working towards chartership.
  • •Experience delivering Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for aviation schemes under UK planning regimes, including awareness of Transport Works Act 1992.
  • •Familiarity with consenting processes for transport infrastructure, including Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA) and Environmental Permit applications.
  • •Ability to lead client communications and maintain relationships with stakeholders, regulators, and the public, including public consultation and stakeholder engagement.
  • •Proven people management experience, plus ability to contribute to strategic planning and win new work through bids and proposals.
